Tell us something we don’t know about you?
I know a lot about the NRL for a girl.
Fitness background? (before starting CrossFit)
My mum told me when I was younger that I needed to pick one sport and put all my focus into that sport. I never could pick one so I did all of them. I played netball, touch football, represented my school at cross-country and athletics and competed at State and Nationals for Surf Life Saving and swimming.
Why did you start CrossFit?
This guy called Aaron Ming (Hongy) convinced me it was a good idea and he wanted to show people that he could actually get a girlfriend.
I wanted to try something new and something I never would have considered trying.
How has CrossFit changed your life?
Crossfit has changed my perspective on the way I train. Before I started Crossfit I was running at least 50km a week and was bored and tired and lost motivation. Every time I come to train at Crossfit Hunter there is something different everyday or a new technique to learn so I never get bored and I’m always looking forward to the session.
What’s your favourite WOD or movement?
Box jumps or anything with running in it
What’s your current goal?
To compete in a competition
What do you love most about the CF Hunter community?
Everyone encourages you through the workouts and they keep pushing you till your finished. I like that it is a massive team sport because I’ve grown up mostly in individual sports.
